Clearer Money shows UK high earners what each tax and childcare cliff costs their household, and how to fix it. It is written and built by Ryan Cassidy.

Ryan is not an accountant or a regulated financial adviser. The site explains the rules and works out the numbers; it doesn't tell you what to do with your money.
How the numbers are checked
Every rate, threshold and allowance is stored once, as data, with a link to the GOV.UK page it comes from. The 2026-27 rules were last checked against those sources on 10 Oct 2026.
The calculators, salary pages and guides all use the same calculation engine, which is tested against worked examples. The figures in each guide are computed by that engine when the page is built, so the article, its tables and the calculator underneath always agree.
